#sundayselfie Anyone who has been trying to trap kittehs and get them to Operation Catnip, May is your month! Get in touch with the Catnip office to find out about nipping kitties all month long. It’s kitten season and these tired mommas can get knocked up while they’re still nursing their current litters.

One of the other, less glamorous, tasks that Operation Catnip does is getting incredibly ill or wounded cats off the street. If a cat comes in with a terminal issue, they do the kind thing and put it down, rather that offer it back to the streets for a slow and painful death. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the doctors discovered that Marley, the cat I brought in today, had a terminal issue. It made me cry that I brought in a cat to die, but the harsh alternative death would probably be harder to have on my conscience.

Radha Krueger: One cat that came in today was microchipped, and they traced the owner who had moved to South Florida. They lost the kitteh a year ago and were so thrilled to have their cat back. So good stuff happens too ๐Ÿ™‚
