Listening to this discussion of the nuts and bolts of Twitter employees suing Elon is disturbing.
Also a good reminder to DOCUMENT YOURSELF AT WORK. Write up notes about troubling meetings you attend or interactions with problem coworkers. Save this in a space outside of your work environment. Include notes about what happened, things people said, who was present. You never know when you’ll need details. Your employer is not your friend. HR is not your friend. Your job is not secure.
Not just for bad things either. Keep a running list of your accomplishments, projects you worked on, or issues you resolved. You are your best advocate for a raise and the only one who can speak to your value.
I honestly have had to document toxic coworkers twice now and I make it a habit of sending myself an email to my personal address with any notes I take on the fly to make it easy to retrieve anything as needed.
Sounds paranoid but you never know when you need this info. </rant>

Bobby J.: Michelle yep, it was a coke can when I was a kid. Bonus was I had just developed what was to become a life long morbid phobia of roaches when I then got a mouthful of roach with my Coca-Cola.
I still have nightmares about it.
