I’m basically at the “ectoplasm draining out of all holes in head” stage of this flu. So that’s fun!

Radha Krueger: Also, I hope my first real meal once I recover is a hot Five Star pizza. Followed by tacos and margaritas. Followed by a nap. Followed by a variety of roasted veggies covered in cheese. And possibly more stuff I’ve been craving all week. Like pudding. Butterscotch pudding. Yes. Yes, all of that….

Rachel R.: I’ve relapsed or caught some other bug. I’m all congested and can’t stop hacking my lungs up. The foster kitties are the same. 🤧😔😷

This is an example of what scientists have to deal with more and more lately. Craig McClain and David Shiffman are at the top of their fields (large marine life / sharks) and they still have to argue about the megalodon being extinct. Hint: the megalodon is as extinct as the giant ground sloth here in Florida. Aye carumba!

Elizabeth B.: Lord have mercy. 🤦‍♀️Hint #1 that they don’t have an actual argument: they can’t even articulate it. With that name-calling, someone needs to tell them that they’re not the people Mr. Rogers thought they could be…

Radha Krueger: I have to add (important) that David Shiffman was so bothered by the number of people responding to her that she should kill herself and similar thoughts, that he deleted his response that led to her contributions, which removed that part of the thread. He encouraged people to do better than that.

Samba K.: Conspiracy theories have been around forever and they mostly stemmed from the lack of available information. It’s an odd phenomena that now that information is so much more available it seems there’s an equivalent push back in distrust of information.

Radha Krueger: That would make sense if people decided to believe conspiracy theories based on critical thinking. It’s all emotion-based, and exacerbate by an individual’s feeling of being overwhelmed and out of control. *Because* there’s so much info available, people are overwhelmed by their own lack of knowledge, and choose a narrative that feels right. It can even be a narrative that completely conflicts with another narrative they embrace about a different topic. 😐

Starr highly recommends our new cat bed 😻

a plump gray cat with a white patch on its belly is curled up on its back in a round bed

Radha Krueger: Coincidentally, that’s how I looked all week!

Erica Michelle: I hope that’s been voluntary and not due to illness.
