Trans women are women. Trans men are men.
But first, trans people are people and deserve the same human dignity and human rights as every other human. Period.
The pearl clutching about trans people or any other LGBTQIA+ folks is purely from entrenched hetero conservative people who don’t want to examine the narrow definition of sex, gender expression, romantic love and sexual desire that they were given and cling to as an absolute.
Every accusation is a confession. Afraid of ‘men dressed as women’ in the ladies room? Let’s talk about the violence straight men inflict on women at the root of your accusation. Afraid of trans kids playing sports? The miniscule number aside, let’s talk about how boring your life is that your identity revolves around the score of your child’s soccer match. And the “I don’t use pronouns” crowd is a near perfect circle in a venn diagram over the roughly 60% of men who admitted that if they could get away with rape, they absolutely would do it.
That’s it. That’s my pre-coffee rant. Trans people are people and I reject the shameful moral panic around the topic.
